Had a talk with my father in law about cars today...

As some of you may know... he is Japanese and lives in Okazaki where I will move to soon...

Here is roughly how the conversation went:

"oh, so you want to maybe buy a Skyline once you're here?

- Yes, an R32 GTR... Not sure, but I really like it.

- Oh you know, I had a Skyline before too when I was young

- Really which one?

- A GC-10

- A GC-10?? I don't know... which one is it? (quickly search on google)... WTF??? An Hakosuka?????????????? Really???????

- Ah, yes yes, they call it like that...

What the fuck?? My father in law, who, I know used to race in the "touge" when he was younger, actually owned an Hakosuka??? And he added that he had a Skyline 2000 GT-B when Prince was making them before that!!

He knows I'm a freaking car geek, why the hell did he nevertold me that??? He raced in touge with an Hakosuka!!! My hero.... :)

In a year or two, I might be able to arrange this kind of service on oppo for some people... I'm actually going there to create my own importation company (to import cars TO japan, not the other usual way around, but I could still do some exeptions for oppo-ers :) )

Do you have a plan for sourcing cars here to send over? My girlfriend and I are trying to start an import business in the US bringing in Japanese and European cars. We just imported our first two . I'd also really like to get into exporting from here after we get set up. We're going to end up splitting our time between the midwest where our dealership will be, and California. Two great places to source cars...

I do have a few plans, but as of right now, I will mostly be travelling myself to pick up and ship the cars. Once set up, I might look for some people of trust permanently installed in different countries to ship me cars...

Yes, but still, lol ;) Nah, I can probably get what I need, just a LS1 swap, gutted interior, carbon body pannels, wing and aero parts, and I'm set ;)
